About Me

I'm Morgan, founder of and mastermind behind Twysted Yarn and Newbie Noggins.  I'm a 30-year-old stay-at-home mom to three beautiful children ages three and under (yes, I'm a little crazy), and I'm one of those lucky women who married her best friend.  In my P.K. (pre-kid) life, I was a middle school/high school English teacher and volleyball coach, so in one way or another, I've been mothering for years. 

Twysted Yarn.  Twysted Yarn was conceived shortly after the conception of our second child.  When we found out we were having a girl, I decided to pick up a crochet hook and teach myself how to crochet some cute hats for her.  I had been crocheting for years, but it was exciting to have a greater purpose in mind.  After making my first few hats, I posted pics on Facebook and received requests for over 30 hats that first week from family and friends.  Shortly thereafter (January 2010 and approximately 150 hats later), I decided to make a business of it. 

Newbie Noggins. Twysted Yarn had an incredible first year, and I was working with some amazing newborn photographers and decided I wanted to offer something slightly different for newborns and photographers, so Newbie Noggins was launched in April 2011.  I love the fresh, bright look of my NN line and am always looking for ways to add onto it. 

Besides being a mother, wife, and business owner, I am also a lover of books, gardening and landscaping, baking, movies, a good wine, and quality time with friends.  I truly am a blessed woman to have a life so fulfilled by doing what I love.
